Side Effects

Warnings

Do not use Caverject if you have a history of priapism, sickle cell disease, or penile implants. Not suitable for those with bleeding disorders or taking anticoagulants. Avoid alcohol and other ED treatments while using Caverject. This product requires proper injection training and regular medical supervision. Always follow dosing guidance strictly.

Caverject is a prescription injection used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It is commonly prescribed for men who are unable to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse, particularly when oral treatments are ineffective or contraindicated. Caverject offers a targeted solution by directly inducing an erection through local injection into the penis.

How It Works
The active ingredient in Caverject is alprostadil, a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analogue. When injected into the corpora cavernosa of the penis, it causes vasodilation of penile blood vessels and relaxation of smooth muscle. This leads to increased blood flow into the erectile tissue, resulting in a firm erection that does not rely on sexual stimulation to initiate. Its localised action allows precise control over the onset and duration of effect.
