Directions

Please refer to the medication’s patient information leaflet before starting any new medication.

• Take on an empty stomach: 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals

• Swallow tablets whole with water

• Do not chew or crush

• Take at evenly spaced intervals

• Complete the full course as prescribed

• Store below 25°C

• Keep in original packaging

• Keep out of reach of children

Ingredients

Active Ingredient:

• Erythromycin 250 mg / 500 mg

Other Ingredients:

• Magnesium stearate

• Cellulose

• Sodium starch glycolate

• Hypromellose

• Titanium dioxide

• Lactose

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Nausea

• Diarrhoea

• Abdominal pain

• Loss of appetite

Serious (rare) side effects:

• Liver dysfunction or jaundice

• Irregular heart rhythm

• Allergic reactions

• Severe diarrhoea caused by Clostridium difficile

Stop the medicine and seek medical attention if serious side effects occur.

Warnings

Do not take Erythromycin if allergic to macrolide antibiotics. Use caution in individuals with liver problems, arrhythmia, or those taking QT-prolonging drugs. Erythromycin may interact with a wide range of medications—always inform your doctor of other prescriptions. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised by a doctor.
