Directions

Please refer to the medication’s patient information leaflet before starting any new medication.

• File and clean the nail before each application

• Apply once or twice a week with the provided applicator

• Avoid cosmetic nail varnish or artificial nails during treatment

• Treatment duration: 6 months for fingernails, 9–12 months for toenails

• Store below 25°C

• Keep in original packaging

Ingredients

Active Ingredient:

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

Serious (rare) side effects:

• Allergic skin reactions

• Nail detachment

Warnings

Do not use Loceryl if allergic to amorolfine or any of the ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes, ears, and mucous membranes. Use caution in patients with diabetes or immune disorders. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically prescribed.

Loceryl 5% Nail Lacquer is a topical antifungal treatment used for the management of onychomycosis—fungal infections of the nails. It is prescribed to patients whose infections are mild to moderate and not involving the nail matrix. Its convenient lacquer formulation makes it ideal for long-term therapy without the systemic side effects associated with oral antifungals.

How It Works
The active ingredient, amorolfine hydrochloride, inhibits sterol synthesis in the fungal cell membrane, leading to cell death. Once applied, Loceryl penetrates the nail plate and the nail bed, maintaining effective concentrations for several days. This allows the treatment to reach the site of infection even beneath the nail surface, preventing fungal growth and gradually clearing the infected area.
