Do not take Livial if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of hormone-sensitive cancers, blood clots, liver disease, or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Regular monitoring and risk assessment by your doctor are essential during treatment.

Livial 2.5mg Tablets are a type of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) prescribed to alleviate symptoms of oestrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women. Livial is suitable for those at least 12 months post-menopause and who no longer experience regular menstruation. It effectively treats common symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, low libido, mood swings, and vaginal dryness.

Livial contains tibolone, a synthetic compound that is metabolised in the body to produce substances that act like oestrogens, progestogens, and androgens. These hormonal effects help to restore hormonal equilibrium disrupted by menopause. Tibolone relieves oestrogen deficiency symptoms and supports bone health, while also protecting the endometrium, eliminating the need for a separate progestogen.
