Do not take Desloratadine if allergic to desloratadine or loratadine. Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver problems. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. May cause mild drowsiness in some individuals.

Desloratadine 5mg Tablets are a prescription antihistamine used to treat allergic rhinitis (including hay fever) and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It is intended for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over who experience regular allergy symptoms that interfere with daily life. The tablet provides fast, non-drowsy relief from sneezing, itchy eyes, and skin irritation caused by allergens.

Desloratadine is the active metabolite of loratadine. It works by selectively blocking H1 histamine receptors, preventing histamine from attaching to these receptors and triggering allergic responses.
