Directions

Please refer to the medication’s patient information leaflet before starting any new medication.

• Apply a thin layer once or twice daily

• Use only on the affected area as prescribed

• Do not use for longer than 2 weeks without medical advice

• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes

• Do not cover with airtight dressings unless instructed

• Store below 25°C

• Liquid paraffin

• White soft paraffin

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:

• Skin irritation

• Itching or burning at the application site

• Skin dryness

Serious (rare) side effects:

• Thinning of the skin

• Hormonal imbalance with prolonged use

• Allergic reactions or worsening infection

Stop the medicine and seek medical attention if serious side effects occur.

Warnings

Do not use Fucibet Cream if allergic to fusidic acid, betamethasone, or any listed ingredient. Not for use on untreated fungal, viral, or non-bacterial infections. Use caution when applying to sensitive skin or the face. Long-term use can lead to resistance or skin damage. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical consultation.

Fucibet Cream is a dual-action topical treatment used to manage infected inflammatory skin conditions, particularly eczema or dermatitis that have become secondarily infected with bacteria. It combines the anti-inflammatory effects of a corticosteroid with the antibacterial properties of an antibiotic in a single, effective formulation.

How It Works
Fucibet contains two active ingredients: betamethasone valerate (a potent corticosteroid) and fusidic acid (a narrow-spectrum antibiotic). Betamethasone works by dampening the body’s immune response in the skin, reducing inflammation, redness, and swelling. Fusidic acid penetrates bacterial cell walls to inhibit protein synthesis, ultimately killing the bacteria responsible for infection. The combination allows both inflammation and infection to be treated simultaneously, improving healing outcomes.
